All of my dye projects from the past couple of days!

The violet fabric and roving are from blackberries, the light orange fabric is from red onion skins, the green roving and yarn are from Black-Eyed Susans, and the orange yarn, my personal favorite, is from beets.

Sun dyeing yarn and roving with Black-Eyed Susans, my favorite flower! I filled this jar with flowers and very hot water, shook well, then added the fiber and shook again. I left it in the sun on a hot day for 5 hours and now I have some very pretty green fibers.

Finally settled in the new apartment and beginning to start projects. Last night I dyed some muslin with red onion skins and it came out beautifully! Once I get my sewing machine serviced I’ll sew it into a couple of small drawstring bags.
